The Shoreline Amateur Astronomical Association works with several West Michigan libraries in support of telescope lending programs, and also provides private library patron observing sessions at Hemlock Crossing Public Observatory. In addition, SAAA presents public lectures at the libraries that focus on astronomy and space related topics.
Libraries working with SAAA include, Herrick District Library (Holland), Loutit Library (Grand Haven), Allendale Library, Spring Lake Library, Muskegon Area District Libraries (MADL), and the Gary Byker Library (Hudsonville). Please check with your local library and keep an eye on the SAAA calendar for future lecture and observing session opportunities. Registration with your local library is required to attend the special observing sessions at Hemlock Crossing Public Observatory.
